Beginning in the fall of 2026, Nikhil will be pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at New England Conservatory, under the tutelage of Eliot Fisk.

Nikhil’s classical guitar studies began at age seven with Michael McCallie, and he would start performing publicly shortly afterwards. In his pre-college years, Nikhil performed in venues such as the Palacio de Quintanar in Segovia, Spain, and Carnegie Hall.

As a teacher, Nikhil has privately taught students from the beginning to pre-college levels, and has written program notes for the San Francisco Conservatory of Music orchestra. Nikhil plays a guitar by luthier Lubos Naprstek.
